Netball Dresses travel to Malawi

For those of you who have been involved with Empire for a while, you will know that the club started life known as Winwood Junior Netball Club. After relaunching in May 2019 and adding a Senior Team (Read all about it here: Empire Club Launch ) we realised that there would be a load of netball dresses and kit that would no longer be used.

When Empire launched, this meant new club colours and custom made dresses designed by Mizuno. Not wanting to waste our old kit, I had come across a charity set up by Manchester Thunder Goal Shooter, Joyce Mvula. Originally from Malawi, she has been playing for Thunder for the last 6 seasons. Through her foundation she supports many netball clubs in her home country donating kit whenever she can, as well as running netball camps to introduce girls to the sport, giving them a platform to excel not only in netball, but academically and in life.
