Empire Netball Club has a strong and historical mentor system for anyone wanting to begin the umpiring pathway. Through the support of England Netball and the leagues we compete in, there is ample opportunity for players, parents & coaches to try out umpiring for the first time.

The great thing about being such a large club is the multiple training sessions that take place during the week. This provides umpires with a varied environment to practice and enhance their skills as they get more and more confident. Beginning with juniors, from Under 10 and above, then progressing to seniors - this creates the perfect environment for new umpires to prepare themselves for the practical exam they need to complete in order to become a qualified umpire.
